I was an anxious patient for fifty years. Today, I am no longer one. Not because my anxiety has disappeared, but because this team took it seriously, without ever making a drama out of it.

Understanding before we act.
Cone-beam CT scan, intraoral scans, structured assessment. The first appointment isn't treatment — it's a conversation backed by data.

Digitally planned, thought through backwards.
From the final dental prosthesis back to the surgery. What should exist at the end determines the first step — not the other way round.

Minimally invasive, navigated.
Coordinated by one team under one roof. Surgery, prosthetics, laboratory — nothing handed off, nothing lost in translation.

The Umbrella Brand
Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner – Dentistry Under One Roof in Weißenfels
A centre of excellence is created not by a name, but by an attitude. At the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner in Weißenfels, we bring together the entire spectrum of modern dentistry in one place – from preventive care through root canal treatment and the care of anxious patients to implantology and biological, material-conscious dentistry. The idea behind this is simple: bringing all specialist areas together under one roof makes it possible to coordinate treatments, shorten journeys, and view the person as a whole, rather than treating individual teeth in isolation.
This page is our practice's central brand page. It gives an overview of what defines us: our philosophy, our interdisciplinary range of services, our facilities, the team around Dr. Strößner, and the path a patient takes with us – from the first phone call to the completion of treatment. For the individual specialist fields, we refer you to the relevant in-depth sections of our practice, where we cover these topics in detail.
Why “Kompetenzzentrum” and not simply “dental practice”
For us, the term "competence centre" is a standard to live up to, not an advertising promise. It means that different dental specialisms are not thought of side by side, but together. Implant treatment touches on questions of prophylaxis and gum health; root canal treatment can determine whether a tooth is preserved or has to be replaced; caring for anxious patients runs through every area as an underlying attitude. We see these connecting lines – and this is precisely where the value of a centre lies, as opposed to a mere string of separate services.
Behind the Zahnkompetenzzentrum is a practice team that has grown together over the years and sees itself as one unit. Dr. Strößner holds the academic degree of Master of Science (M.Sc.), specialising in oral implantology and periodontology – a part-time postgraduate degree spanning several years that goes well beyond standard university training. This professional depth is the foundation on which the entire centre works.
We believe that modern dentistry must achieve two things at once: the utmost professional care and genuine human warmth. One is inconceivable without the other. Technically flawless treatment that does not take a person's fears and questions seriously remains incomplete – and, conversely, no atmosphere, however friendly, can replace sound diagnostics. At the Zahnkompetenzzentrum, we deliberately bring both together, and this is precisely the standard by which we measure ourselves.
Our Philosophy
Time, quality and trust – the values behind our work
Good dentistry does not begin in the treatment chair, but in conversation. We deliberately take the time to understand what concern, what history and what expectations someone brings with them. It is only from this understanding that a treatment plan emerges that fits their particular life situation. Three values shape everything we do: time, quality and trust.
Time – the most important prerequisite for good decisions
Dental decisions are often long-term ones. Dental prosthetics, an implant or a comprehensive restoration stay with patients for many years. Such decisions cannot be made in passing. We plan our appointments so that there is room for questions – for explaining findings, for weighing up alternatives, and for the worries that many people associate with a visit to the dentist. Anyone who feels understood makes calmer, more durable decisions.
Quality – care in every step
For us, quality is reflected in the care taken with each individual step: thorough diagnostics, considered planning, the choice of suitable materials and structured aftercare. We base our work on current scientific knowledge and on the guidelines of the dental professional associations. We assess innovations critically, as not every technical development is automatically a benefit for the patient.
Trust – the foundation of every treatment
Treatment can only succeed where there is a relationship of trust. Trust is built through transparency: through clear explanations of findings, honest words about the possibilities and limitations of a treatment, and comprehensible treatment and cost plans. We do not promise miracles; instead, we explain openly what is possible, what approaches exist, and what contribution is needed from the patient. This honesty matters more to us than a quick yes.
Trust also grows from the experience of being taken seriously. We listen when someone describes negative experiences from the past, and we respect it when someone wants time to think before making a decision. No one is pressured into treatment with us. Instead, we provide the information needed for an independent decision and support the journey at whatever pace suits the individual.
- Thorough initial consultations with enough time for questions and concerns
- Treatment planning based on current scientific knowledge and professional society guidelines
- Clear information about findings, alternatives, and the possibilities and limitations
- Transparent treatment and cost plans before treatment begins
- An atmosphere where even anxious people can feel safe and cared for
Range of Services
The Interdisciplinary Range of Services at a Glance
What makes a competence centre special is the breadth of what it offers, combined with depth in each individual discipline. Under the roof of the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner, you will find specialist fields that interlock and complement one another. The following overview shows the main areas of focus – each of them is presented in detail in its own dedicated section.
- Implantology – replacing lost teeth with implants anchored in the jawbone, ranging from a single missing tooth to restoring a fully edentulous jaw
- Biological dentistry – a material-conscious perspective on dental health and the materials used, taking the whole organism into account
- Endodontics (root canal treatment) – preserving inflamed or damaged teeth through careful treatment of the inside of the tooth
- Prophylaxis and periodontology – preventing tooth decay and gum disease through professional dental cleaning and structured preventive care
- Aesthetic dentistry – the natural restoration of the shape and colour of teeth, with an eye to a harmonious overall look
- Treatment of anxious patients – a sensitive approach and options for relaxed treatment for people with pronounced dental anxiety
- Orthodontics – correcting misaligned teeth and jaws for function and aesthetics
Why these areas belong together
These specialist fields do not simply sit side by side; they build on one another. Before an implant is planned, the condition of the gums and remaining teeth is crucial – this is where prophylaxis and periodontology come in. Whether a tooth is preserved or replaced is often a question that lies between endodontics and implantology. The biological perspective informs material choice across every discipline, and sensitive handling of anxiety runs through every area of treatment. It is precisely this interplay that lies at the heart of what we understand by a Zahnkompetenzzentrum.
For many patients, this brings a major practical advantage in everyday life: you don't need to commute between several practices, have your findings recorded more than once, or worry about whether the treatment steps are coordinated with one another. Responsibility stays bundled in one place.
A further advantage lies in continuity of care. Anyone attending the same practice for years is treated by people who know their history, keep previous findings in view, and can put changes over time into context. This continuity is a value not to be underestimated, especially for long-term restorations such as implants or comprehensive rehabilitation – and it naturally arises more easily where a well-practised team works together under one roof.
Which of these services make sense in an individual case only ever becomes clear from a personal examination and conversation. With us, there is no off-the-shelf standard solution, but a path tailored individually to you.
Facilities & Technology
Equipment and technology: modern tools in the service of treatment
For us, technology is not an end in itself, but a tool intended to support gentle, precise and easily understandable treatment. At the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner, we rely on contemporary equipment that combines diagnostic accuracy with treatment comfort – always with the aim of making procedures as precise and as gentle as possible.
Diagnostics and Planning
Good treatment begins with a good diagnosis. Modern imaging techniques reveal structures that cannot be seen with the naked eye and form the basis for forward-looking planning. In implantology in particular, careful three-dimensional planning makes it possible to think through procedures in advance and tailor them to individual anatomy. Digital workflows also help to document treatment steps and present them in a way that is easy for patients to understand.
Treatment and Hygiene
In our treatment area, we combine established procedures with modern instruments. Hygiene takes on great importance here: reprocessing instruments, surface disinfection and structured hygiene procedures are a fixed part of our everyday practice and follow the applicable requirements. For many people, it is reassuring to know that these invisible standards are consistently upheld.
Relaxed Treatment
For patients with significant anxiety, or for more extensive procedures, options for treatment under relaxation – such as sedation – can be discussed. Whether and which method is suitable depends on the individual's state of health and the planned procedure, and is explained carefully beforehand. The aim is always to make necessary treatment possible, even in cases where anxiety would otherwise stand in the way.
- Modern imaging diagnostics as the basis for forward-looking planning
- Digital planning and documentation processes for greater traceability
- Structured hygiene and reprocessing procedures in line with current requirements
- Options for relaxed treatment following individual consultation
- Collaboration with qualified dental technicians for a precisely fitting restoration
Team & Dr. Strößner
The team and Dr. Strößner – the people behind the centre
A competence centre lives through the people who sustain it. Behind the Zahnkompetenzzentrum stands a well-practised team of dentists, dental nurses, prevention specialists, and staff at reception and in administration. Together, they ensure that professional treatment becomes a thoroughly coherent experience – from a friendly welcome to considerate support in the treatment chair.
Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner
Dr. Strößner runs the Zahnkompetenzzentrum with a clear ambition: dentistry of a professionally high standard, embedded in a human, transparent treatment culture. The academic title Master of Science (M.Sc.) stands for a structured postgraduate course of study spanning several years, and for the continuous professional development that he expects of himself and his team. His understanding of dentistry is holistic: a tooth is never viewed in isolation, but always in the context of the entire chewing system and the person it belongs to.
A team with different areas of specialism
The strength of a centre lies in the fact that no single person has to cover everything; instead, different professionals contribute their own particular expertise. This means patients benefit from combined knowledge without having to change practice. Regular further training, collegial exchange, and a shared commitment to the values of time, quality and trust keep the team working to a consistent standard.
If you'd like to get to know the faces behind the Zahnkompetenzzentrum, you'll find a detailed introduction to our whole team on our team page. There, our staff introduce themselves along with their respective areas of responsibility.
It matters to us that patients feel seen as a person with us, not as a case. This attitude cannot be delegated – it is upheld by every single member of the team and is part of what defines the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner.
This also means that every patient has a fixed point of contact for their concerns and does not get the feeling of being passed from appointment to appointment. Reception, treatment and aftercare interlock, information is passed on, and wishes or particular circumstances remain present throughout the entire course of treatment. In this way, many individual encounters become one consistently coherent treatment journey.
Getting here
A patient's journey – from first contact to treatment
Many people find the step of visiting a new practice unsettling. That's why we want to make it transparent how treatment at the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner typically unfolds. The exact course always depends on the individual concern – the steps below show the common thread that guides us.
- Initial contact: Call us on 03443 339 65 54, or arrange an appointment another way. Our reception team will note your concern and answer any initial questions.
- Initial consultation and examination: at your first appointment, we take the time to record your history, understand your wishes, and carry out a thorough examination. Where needed, we carry out the diagnostics required for planning.
- Discussing the findings: We explain the findings to you clearly and set out the possible treatment approaches – along with their respective benefits, limitations and alternatives. There is room here for all your questions.
- Treatment plan and cost plan: On request, and for more extensive treatment, we draw up a written treatment and cost plan that you can review at your leisure and submit to your health insurer.
- Treatment: Once you have given your consent, the actual treatment is carried out in one or more coordinated steps. On request, and after explanation, options for relaxed treatment are available.
- Aftercare and prevention: We continue to support you after completion – with check-up appointments and prophylaxis tailored to you, so that the treatment result lasts as long as possible.
This path is not a rigid scheme, but a framework that we adapt individually. Some concerns are resolved in a single appointment, others require careful treatment planned over several sessions. What matters is that, at every point, you know where you stand and what step comes next.
We are here for you in urgent cases too. If acute symptoms occur, please get in touch by phone – we will try to help you promptly and discuss the next steps with you.
Location & Costs
The Weißenfels location, catchment area and transparent pricing philosophy
The Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner is located at Leopold-Kell-Straße 25, 06667 Weißenfels, in southern Saxony-Anhalt. Weißenfels has excellent transport links within the Burgenlandkreis, situated between Halle, Leipzig and Naumburg. For this reason, patients come to us not only from the town itself, but from the entire surrounding area – from the Burgenlandkreis as well as from the wider Halle/Leipzig region.
Easy to reach in the Burgenlandkreis
Our location in Weißenfels makes us a regional point of contact for demanding dentistry. For many people from the surrounding towns, it is an advantage to have a competence centre with a broad range of services nearby, rather than having to travel to larger cities for different treatments. We are happy to discuss the route and accessibility with you by phone.
Our Approach to Costs: Transparency Before Treatment Begins
We talk openly about money – and we do so before treatment begins. We are convinced that a good decision is only possible once the financial side is also clear. For more extensive treatment, you will therefore receive a written treatment and cost plan that sets out the individual items in a clear, comprehensible way. This means you know what to expect and can submit the plan to your statutory or private health insurer.
Which costs are covered by statutory health insurance, and which portions have to be paid privately, depends heavily on the particular treatment. Many basic services are covered by statutory insurance; higher-value restorations or certain procedures go beyond the statutory insurers' scope of cover and are billed privately. We explain these differences calmly and without any pressure.
Statutory health insurers cover many basic dental services as well as fixed subsidies based on the diagnosis, for example for dental prosthetics; a dental bonus booklet (Bonusheft) kept up to date without gaps can increase these subsidies. Higher-value treatment, aesthetic services, or certain modern methods often go beyond the statutory scale of benefits and are billed privately. Privately insured patients receive different levels of reimbursement depending on their tariff. For more extensive treatment, we issue you with a transparent treatment and cost plan in advance, which you can review at your own pace and submit to your health insurer. Please feel free to contact us – by phone on 03443 339 65 54.
Our goal is a culture of cost transparency, with no surprises. You should know exactly what you are choosing – both clinically and financially. For us, this transparency is just as much part of what a competence centre stands for as the clinical quality of the treatment itself.
Interdisciplinary Dentistry Under One Roof
'Zahnkompetenzzentrum' is not a marketing term for us, but a description of what our team actually is: a group of specialised dentists, dental nurses (ZFA) and dental hygienists (ZMF) who offer the entire spectrum of modern dentistry under one roof – interdisciplinary, coordinated, personal.
In many cases, several areas of expertise are needed to achieve an optimal result: a periodontologist assesses the gums before an implantologist plans the treatment, a prophylaxis specialist looks after preparation and aftercare, and a dentist with a focus on paediatric dentistry coordinates with orthodontics. With us, all of this happens without anything being lost between hand-offs.
Voices that have stayed.
What convinced me was the absence of marketing. No promises. Just planning, explanation, execution. I had eight implants placed and didn't even feel like I'd made a difficult decision.
Questions, answered calmly.
